Thanksgiving in NY

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in NY.

Highlights: seeing friends; enjoying the city with the kids for the first time; good food; playing on the rocks and playground in central park; Rob flying out to Boston to watch Mitzie while we were in NY...

Lowlights: David vomiting on the train (x2); mom temporarily holding both David and Grace on her shoulders so that they could see the Macy's parade (note: gotta teach the girls to be a bit more aggressive so that they can push their way to the front next time) Tony went off to buy bagels and couldn't get back to us (that's what he said anyways)...

I made the full turkey dinner on Monday evening before Thanksgiving so we all got to eat our turkey and pie. We don't seem to be tied down to celebrating on a specific day. Last year we celebrated Thanksgiving on Sunday with Bing and Yi and June and Jason and the kids at our house in Shanghai. I remember it was difficult finding a turkey that didn't cost $75 (found a frozen one at Metro) and also challenging keeping the darn pilot light lit in our crazy oven.
